Our acoustically designed room in the heart of Denver plays host to live jazz nightly (Tuesday through Sunday). Check the calendar below for set times as they may vary. Nocturne’s distinctive Artist in Residency programming is at the core of our line up. Most artists who perform at Nocturne engage in a four to eight week run that focuses on the exploration of a musical icon, the study of a jazz genre, or the exhibition of an Artist's own original work. This old-school approach to programming combines the unique opportunity to hone one’s craft with regular stage time, while also establishing an elevated rapport with Denver music fans. Nocturne is proud to be the only venue in Colorado that features jazz exclusively, and we are also pleased to feature national touring artists on special occasions.
At this time, our live music performances are available by reservation only. By reserving your seat for dinner and a show you can enjoy the live music along with a three course menu by our talented culinary team. You can make a reservation on-line or via phone @ 303.295.3333.
In addition to dining on site, we recognize that some members of our community are unable to join us in person this summer. As such, we'll be live streaming several of our performances for you to enjoy from the comfort and safety of your home. Follow us at https://www.facebook.com/nocturnejazz/ for live streams and recordings of our past performances.
Supporting the musicians practicing their craft on our stage is important to us - your prepaid dinner reservation includes the artist fees that support fair pay to our music community. You can support in other ways such as purchasing music online, physical CD's or sending Venmo tips to your favorite artists. The music community is strong but still working to rebound from a lot of cancelled gigs during the COVID-19 pandemic. Your support of their craft will keep this art form alive.
Comprised of long-time friends and accomplished bandmates: Annie Booth (piano), Patrick McDevitt (bass) and Alejandro Castaño (drums) The Annie Booth Trio will take to the Nocturne stage to perform the music of The Beatles through the jazz.
Denver based pianist and composer Annie Booth began the piano at a young age and started playing jazz in high school. She went on to study music at the collegiate level, earning a BM in jazz piano performance at the University of Colorado-Boulder in 2011. Annie has become a force in the Denver jazz scene with recent awards as Westword Magazine's winner in the "Best In Denver" jazz category for both 2015 and 2016 and a recipient of an ASCAP Young Jazz Composers Award. In addition to her notable work as a recording artist and bandleader, she is an accomplished side-woman, playing often at Nocturne with a number of bands and very recently featured in the Greg Gisbert Quartet tour of Mexico through the "New York Jazz All-Stars" concert series.
Patrick McDevitt is an upright and electric bassist hailing from Denver, Colorado. From playing with national touring artists to working on the road with New Orleans' famed percussionist Mike Dillon, to anchoring down the Annie Booth Trio, Patrick is a versatile and talented player, prolific in number of musical backgrounds. Recently completing his graduate degree in music at Denver University's Lamont School of Music, Patrick is an in demand bass player throughout the Denver area and beyond and a compelling bandleader in his own right.
